Cloud Business has been working closely with ASOS to move the retail giant to Office 365. They also opted for the addition of our in-house application Cloud Manager – helping them to manage their Office 365 control panel.

40,000 product lines across womenswear

The Problem

Established in June 2000, ASOS.com is the UK’s largest independent online fashion and beauty retailer, offering over 40,000 branded and own label product lines across womenswear.

ASOS.com were growing rapidly (and still are) with user numbers increasing month on month. This means scaling their internal infrastructure can be problematic. They needed a scalable and robust platform that could grow with their business.

Cloud Business were recommended by Microsoft to engage with ASOS to assess their move to the cloud, which at the time was BPOS.

“Cloud Business has been working closely with ASOS since February 2011. We assisted, planned and deployed their move to the cloud from BPOS, to Office365. By engaging & partnering with Cloud Business the risk of business downtime to ASOS.com is significantly reduced. As a successful growing business they made a smart move to the cloud, which will grow with them.”

James Butler, CEO, Cloud Business

The Solution

  • BPOS – Assessment, planning, deployment.
  • Office365 upgrade – with further  planning and preparation.
  • Cloud Manager – enables ASOS.com to securely manage and maintain Office365 with full auditing

With nearly 1500+ users moving to the cloud was not a decision to be taken lightly. Cloud Business performed a full assessment of their environment and prepared the deployment plan.

On the weekend of the Royal Wedding in 2011 Cloud Business migrated the users to the Business Productivity Online Suite. This meant their users had access to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, & Office Communicator and Live Meeting. In 2012 we then assisted ASOS.com in the transition from BPOS to Office365.

ASOS.com have a large support team who need to work quickly administering user requests. Cloud Manager allows them to do this quickly, securely and simply.

The Benefits

ASOS.com can now continue to grow safe in the knowledge their business IT is being managed by the worlds leading software company, Microsoft; and supported by their award winning specialists at Cloud Business.
